Custom Address Labels
We personalize everything in today's world. Why not have custom address labels? It all makes perfect sense. Our mail is one of those things that really should be personalized because we use that personalization to identify it. We want everyone to know the mail we send is from us and custom address labels will serve that exact purpose, and then some.
Truth is, custom address labels and personalized address labels aren't necessarily the same thing, though they can be. Custom address labels are almost always personalized, whereas personalized address labels aren't necessarily custom-made. How can that be? Personalized address labels tell the name and address of the person sending the mail. This is what specifically personalizes them. On the other hand, custom address labels are made in a specific fashion, customized to the person who is ordering them and to the name and address as indicated on the labels. See the difference?
You can create your own address labels with nothing more than your computer and a box of Avery labels bought at the local office supply store. These would be personalized. They would include your name and address and serve your purposes perfectly if you needed nothing more than a way to identify yourself as the mail's sender. But to add personality to that, to include creativity and life, fun and/or professionalism, that is where the line is drawn and shows where you will have to make custom address labels. That's where you get into the customization of your personal address labels, turning them into something that not only includes your name and address but also breathes, clearing indicating that the mail in question could come from no one but you.
Now that you have a clear-cut idea of the difference, what is it you want? Do you want to go the easy and quick route, and just simply produce a few sheets of personalized address labels? That is of course acceptable. There is absolutely no real shame in that. However, keep in mind that if you do not have custom address labels made, you are in danger of having all your friends and family and business associates consider you, at best, dull and boring and, at worst, an unimaginative person who takes the easy way out. You probably don't want that, do you? Take some time and very carefully think about the differences between the two types of address labels before you forego the opportunity to have creative and attractive custom address labels at your beck and call, available for every single piece of mail you send out.
The variances are as obvious as vanilla and chocolate cake. One is good, the other is vibrant and delicious-not only in the end result but in the visual anticipation, as well. Well-done, creative custom address labels will set you apart and make others see you as something of a visionary and trendsetter. People will anticipate your mail because they will know that your custom address labels accompany whatever it is you put in that outer envelope.
You'll see. Just give custom address labels a try and then stand back. You may not yet be ready for all the attention you are going to receive. In fact, you may have to change your address . . . oops, that would require new custom address labels, wouldn't it?!
